Rich Alvarez, MPA- Founder & CEO and Chairman of the Board
Rich is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, where he received his BA in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Maxine Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University. He moved to Clearwater, Florida in 2016 and received his MPA from the University of South Florida. He is a retired and disabled police officer and has repurposed his life, after a dark period in his life following his retirement, to serving others again in the nonprofit world. He has run a nonprofit website called Comprehensive Reentry, served as an Account Executive with Abe Brown Ministries Ready4Work reentry program, and as the Director of Workforce Development for the Pinellas Ex-Offender Reentry Coalition, as well as the Director of STARS and St. Pete Works. His passion for helping other first responders from experiencing the same suffering he endured spurred him to start this organization in 2019. He thanks God and his Christian faith for being the driving force in his mission to serve others.
